"Maha Kumbh’s Glory and Significance to Be Showcased at the Cultural Village"

Preparations are in their final stages to make the Mahakumbh Fair, starting on January 13 next year, a grand and spiritual experience. In this direction, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is setting up a unique Cultural Village in the Mahakumbh area, spread over five acres.
It is estimated that nearly 400 million devotees from over 150 countries will visit the Mahakumbh. To highlight its grandeur, this Cultural Village will host various cultural events and a 45-day exhibition of local handicrafts and arts.
The Cultural Village will showcase historical and cultural heritage through advanced technologies like Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The Maha Kumbh’s spiritual, cultural, and historical aspects will be presented vividly. Key features will include depictions of ancient sciences, arts, and astrology, as well as historical and spiritual achievements.
The Village will feature digital simulations of the environment, 360-degree immersive displays, live streaming, and long-distance virtual tours. The exhibitions will also highlight themes from the Vedas, Puranas, and various scriptures.
A prominent stage in the Village will host performances of classical and folk music, traditional dance, and other cultural arts. Along with this, universities specializing in ancient Indian sciences will have dedicated exhibition zones.
According to Vijay Kiran Anand, the Mahakumbh Mela Officer, the Cultural Village will be a major attraction at the Mahakumbh Fair. Preparations for the village, spread across five acres, will be completed before the first week of January 2025.
This innovative space will create a unique, realistic experience for visitors using cutting-edge technology, offering a journey through AR and VR. It is designed to feel like stepping into another dimension, merging the physical and digital realms seamlessly.
