UV INDIA NEWS: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has developed a new, more efficient technology to fight tuberculosis (TB) that can diagnose the disease in just two and a half hours. This rapid detection system can identify the presence of TB bacteria in over 1,500 samples at once, with each test costing only ₹35 per patient. Currently, diagnosing TB can take up to one and a half months.

Key Features of the New Technology:

• The technology, called the 'Diagnosis with Detection System,' can perform molecular tests to identify the presence of TB bacteria quickly and accurately.
• It provides results in just two and a half hours, significantly improving it over existing diagnostic methods that take much longer and are more expensive.
