Notification -regarding election holiday due to election in various places

No. FW/Election/2024/4053.— Whereas the Bye-Election, 2024 to the Assembly Constituencies 67-Ramgarh, District Alwar & 161- Chorasi (ST), District Dungarpur of Rajasthan and 16-Meerapur, 29-Kundarki, 56 Ghaziabad, 71- Khair (SC), 110-Karhal, 213 Sishamau, 256-Phulpur, 277- Katehari & 397-Majhawan of Uttar Pradesh for which the poll shall be held on the 13.11.2024 (Wednesday) as per letter of the Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana issued vide No. 130/Paid Holiday/RJ, Bye-Elec-2024/2AE-12433 dated 25.10.2024 & No.130/Paid Holiday/UP, Bye-Elec-2024/ 2AE-12516 dated 28.10.2024. And whereas, it has been considered necessary to provide opportunity to the public to exercise their franchise. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 65 of the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act 63 of 1948) and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Haryana is pleased to exempt all the adult workers working in the factories situated in the State of Haryana who are the voters in aforesaid Bye Election to the Assembly Constituencies of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh which is to be held on 13.11.2024 from the operations of provisions of section 52 (1) (a) of the said Act, for the week commencing from 10.11.2024 and ending 16.11.2024, subject to the condition that no adult worker who is enrolled as voter in aforesaid Bye Election to the Assembly Constituencies of 67-Ramgarh, District Alwar and 161- Chorasi (ST), District Dungarpur of Rajasthan and 16-Meerapur, 29-Kundarki, 56 Ghaziabad, 71- Khair (SC), 110-Karhal, 213 Sishamau, 256-Phulpur, 277- Katehari and 397-Majhawan of Uttar Pradesh shall be required or allowed to work on 13.11.2024 (Wednesday) in the factories of the state of Haryana.
