Para Athlete Praveen’s High Jump Earns Him a Ticket to World Championship

 

World Competition to Be Held in Delhi from September 26 to October 5

Bengaluru: At the 7th Indian Open Para Athletics International Championship held in Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium, para athlete Praveen Kumar from Jewar, Gautam Budh Nagar, delivered an exceptional performance.

Competing in the T-44 category high jump, Praveen cleared 1.90 meters, securing the gold medal and qualifying for the World Championship. The upcoming global event will be held in Delhi from September 26 to October 5.

Praveen, who has already brought home numerous medals, expressed his excitement about representing India once again on the world stage. His victory is expected to inspire many other para athletes across the country.

 

Has Won Multiple Medals
Praveen previously won a silver medal in the Paralympics and holds the distinction of being the first athlete from Jewar to reach this level of international success. His achievements have been celebrated widely in sporting circles.
