Employees to Retain PF Contribution Facility Even After Leaving Job

Employees to Retain PF Contribution Facility Even After Leaving Job
Preparation Underway
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is preparing to allow employees to continue contributing to their PF accounts even after leaving their jobs. This initiative will especially benefit those who wish to start their own business after resigning from employment.
The Ministry is considering two key proposals. First, if someone leaves their job to start a business, they should be allowed to keep their EPFO account active. On this basis, interest should be provided to the individual based on their personal contributions.
Second, after retirement, if someone wants to utilize the employer's contributions made during their employment towards a pension scheme, they should be provided an option for this facility as well.
