Microsoft to Invest $3 Billion in AI Expansion in India: Nadella


Bengaluru, ANI: Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella announced on Tuesday that the company will invest $3 billion (₹25,700 crore) in India to expand its cloud computing and AI capabilities. However, he did not specify a timeline for the investment.
Speaking at a technology and startup ecosystem conference, Nadella highlighted that Microsoft aims to train 10 million people in AI skills by 2030. He emphasized that this will be a major technological expansion, making India a global hub for AI advancements.
Recently, several global tech leaders have visited India, and Nadella is among them. He described India as one of the best places for AI growth and praised the country's digital transformation efforts.
During his last visit to India in February 2024, Nadella had announced that Microsoft would provide AI skill training to 2 million people in India by 2025. This latest investment signals an even larger commitment towards AI-driven innovation in India.
