‘MSME for Bharat’ Initiative Launched Nationwide to Boost Competitiveness and Recognition

A nationwide initiative titled ‘MSME for Bharat’ has been launched to strengthen the global competitiveness of India’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and give them national-level recognition. Organised by Amar Ujala in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME, the initiative aims to empower the sector through a series of regional conclaves, awards, and capacity-building programmes.

The campaign began with regional conclaves in three key cities, marking the start of a 22-city roadshow that will culminate in a grand national conclave and awards ceremony on October 9, 2025. The concluding event in New Delhi will feature policymakers, industry leaders, and government officials, including the Union Minister for MSME and senior ministers from various state governments.

Objectives of the Initiative

The ‘MSME for Bharat’ programme is designed to prepare Indian MSMEs for global competition by focusing on innovation, quality enhancement, sustainability, and digital transformation. It also aims to address sectoral challenges, promote entrepreneurship, and encourage startups by showcasing successful business models and best practices.

In addition, the initiative seeks to foster collaboration between government bodies, industry associations, and private enterprises to ensure the holistic growth of MSMEs — which form the backbone of India’s economy and employment landscape.

Categories of Awards

To celebrate excellence and innovation, awards will be presented in multiple categories, including:

  • Manufacturing Excellence
  • Innovation, Research, and Digital Transformation
  • Quality and Standard Development
  • Customer Service and Impact
  • Export Performance and Global Reach
  • Sustainable Business Practices
  • Emerging Startups
  • Traditional and Cultural Enterprises
  • Renewable Energy and Employment Generation

These awards aim to recognise outstanding achievements and inspire other MSMEs to pursue excellence and scalability.

Regional Conclaves and Roadmap

The regional conclaves are being organised in several cities across the country, including Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Haridwar, Agra, Bareilly, and Saharanpur. Each event will feature panel discussions, expert-led workshops, networking opportunities, and interactive sessions focusing on growth strategies, financial planning, export promotion, and technology adoption.

The ‘MSME for Bharat’ series is expected to act as a catalyst for innovation, global market expansion, and inclusive growth, helping Indian MSMEs strengthen their position in the evolving global economy.
