Path Cleared for Developing Industrial Parks
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has cleared the way for land acquisition to develop new industrial parks in Sector-10. An agreement was reached between the authority and local farmers after resolving issues related to resettling old residents.
The proposed industrial park will include various sectors such as electronics, plastic production, electrical vehicle manufacturing, and other emerging technologies. With the resolution of disputes, land acquisition has now begun in Alampur village, as farmers have agreed to the terms after extensive discussions with YEIDA officials, including CEO Dr Arunveer Singh.
Farmers had previously protested, which delayed the acquisition process. However, an agreement has now been reached to expedite the development in Sector-10. According to YEIDA, the area is expected to attract an investment of ₹15,000 crore, focusing on electric vehicle manufacturing, batteries, and related infrastructure.
This project aims to create approximately 15,000 jobs. The land acquisition will be conducted under the supervision of the local administration, and once complete, the development work on the industrial park will proceed.
