Solar Energy Equipment to Be Manufactured in Yamuna City

A 200-acre plant will soon be established in Sector-8 of Yamuna City to manufacture solar energy equipment, marking a major boost to India’s renewable energy sector. The project is being set up by RenewSys India Private Limited, a leading solar components manufacturing company.

 

The facility will focus on the production of solar modules and solar cells. The company will establish five separate manufacturing units for solar cell production and another five for solar module production. These units will produce a wide range of equipment, including high-efficiency solar panels, frames, and related components.

 

According to company officials, the manufacturing plant will have a production capacity of 3.5 gigawatts for solar modules and a similar capacity for solar cells. This large-scale facility aims to cater to both domestic and international markets, contributing significantly to India’s renewable energy capacity.

 

The Uttar Pradesh government has allotted land to the company based on the first letter of comfort issued by the authorities, and construction work is expected to commence soon. Once operational, the plant is projected to create around 2,500 jobs in the region, boosting local employment and economic activity.

 

Officials from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) have stated that this project will strengthen the region’s industrial profile and support the national mission of promoting clean and sustainable energy solutions.
