Technology Has Delivered Countless Benefits to People in 11 Years of Governance: Prime Minister Modi

 

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday highlighted that during his government’s 11 years in office, technology has been leveraged to deliver innumerable benefits to citizens across the country.

 

Speaking on the impact of technology, the Prime Minister said, “With the help of India’s youth, we are creating a significant impact in innovation and the technology sector.” He added that these efforts have transformed India into a global technology hub and strengthened transparency in public services.

 

He cited examples such as the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity, the world’s largest direct benefit transfer system, and the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), which have improved efficiency and convenience for millions. Modi noted that more than ₹34 lakh crore has been directly transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts through these initiatives.

 

Emphasizing the role of technology in governance, he said it has made service delivery faster, more transparent, and accountable.

 

Representatives from 40 Countries to Join PM Modi in Yoga Session

Separately, preparations are underway for International Yoga Day on June 21, where the Prime Minister will lead a mass yoga event at the Dal Lake banks in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. Over 40 countries’ representatives are expected to participate in the event, along with thousands of yoga enthusiasts.

 

In anticipation, security and logistical arrangements are being finalized. The event aims to showcase India’s cultural heritage and the global appeal of yoga.
