Units for Manufacturing Medical Devices to Be Established in Greater Noida
New industrial units for manufacturing medical equipment and devices will soon be set up in Greater Noida. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched a new scheme to promote this sector.
Under the plan, applications are being invited for allotment of 21 plots in Sector 28, where these units will be established. The plots range in size from 1,000 to 2,100 square meters. Five of the plots are larger, exceeding 2,100 square meters.
Officials said this initiative is part of the creation of India’s largest medical device park in Greater Noida, which will include facilities for cancer care, radiology, imaging, IVD, implants, and other advanced medical technologies.
Applications for the plots can be submitted until July 7.
According to YEIDA, the allotment rate for 1,000 square meter plots has been set at ₹7,730 per square meter. The premium price will be ₹77.30 lakh, with a registration fee of ₹7.73 lakh. For 2,100 square meter plots, the premium cost has been fixed at ₹1.62 crore, along with a registration fee of ₹16.23 lakh.
The medical device park is expected to significantly boost domestic manufacturing capabilities and create employment opportunities in the region.
