Before Diwali, Yogi Government to Give a Gift: Employees to Receive Dearness Allowance and Bonus
In a significant move for around 20 lakh government employees and 8 lakh pensioners in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government is set to provide a Diwali gift in the form of an increased dearness allowance (DA) and bonus. Orders for this are expected next week.
The dearness allowance for employees is set to increase by 4% from July 2024 onwards. Apart from this, employees will also receive a bonus, expected to be equal to the previous year's amount.
