ESIC Hospital in Noida to Expand Capacity and Introduce MBBS Program

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital in Sector-24, Noida, is set to undergo a significant expansion and modernization to better serve patients. Starting next year, the hospital will add 150 new beds, increasing its total capacity to 500 beds. Additionally, a 50-seat MBBS program will commence, marking a major milestone in the institution's growth.
Enhanced Medical Facilities
Currently, the hospital has 350 beds, which are often fully occupied due to high demand. The addition of 150 beds will alleviate overcrowding, ensuring better care for patients. This expansion will make ESIC Hospital the largest government hospital in the district by bed capacity. The hospital also caters to nearly 2,000 outpatients daily, further emphasizing the need for enhanced infrastructure.
MBBS Program Collaboration
The hospital administration has proposed a collaboration with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, to launch the MBBS course. The program will offer specialized training in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. The ESIC Hospital will play a key role in providing practical training and clinical exposure for medical students, bridging the gap in healthcare education.
Government Support for Expansion
The proposal for the hospital's expansion and the MBBS program has been submitted to the Delhi headquarters for approval. Alongside the increase in bed capacity, additional facilities and staff are expected to be added to meet growing patient needs. Paediatric care and district-level hospital services will also see improvements, ensuring comprehensive healthcare for residents.
A Step Toward Excellence in Public Healthcare
The expansion will position ESIC Hospital as a cornerstone of public healthcare in the region. With the introduction of the MBBS program, the hospital aims to contribute to medical education and address the shortage of skilled doctors. This initiative reflects a broader effort to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in the region.
