Increased Difficulties Logging into the PF Portal Due to Server Slowdown
The issues with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) portal have significantly worsened, with server slowdowns causing more problems than before. Members are finding it difficult to log in, facing constant error messages. Employers are struggling with member approval and other related tasks on the portal, leading to widespread frustration.
Since the introduction of the new Social Security Code, these difficulties have intensified, causing delays and confusion. Members are required to generate tokens for various transactions, but the system frequently fails, leaving them unable to access their accounts or complete necessary processes. The EPFO has acknowledged these technical issues and is working on resolving them, but it may take up to two and a half months to fully implement the fixes.
Despite assurances, members are expressing concerns over the persistent problems and the time it is taking to resolve them. The EPFO’s measures to ease the process by allowing token generation from home have not fully alleviated the frustration faced by users, as server issues continue to cause delays.
Members can now generate tokens from home
In response to ongoing technical difficulties, the EPFO is attempting to improve its services by allowing members to generate necessary tokens from the comfort of their homes. However, this system is also not functioning as expected. Employers and members alike are facing issues in updating KYC details, linking UAN with Aadhaar, and managing other essential tasks on the portal. Many are hopeful that the new system updates planned by EPFO will eventually ease these challenges, but for now, the user experience remains problematic.
