Tata Motors Achieves Over One Lakh Vehicle Deliveries During Festive Season

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has announced that it achieved over one lakh vehicle deliveries between Navratri and Diwali, marking a strong festive season performance. The company reported a 33% increase in deliveries compared to the same festive period last year.

According to Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, the surge in sales was primarily driven by high demand for SUVs and a significant rise in electric vehicle (EV) sales. He stated that models such as the Nexon and Punch contributed greatly to this milestone.

During this festive window, more than 38,000 units of the Nexon were sold — a 73% increase over last year’s numbers. Similarly, over 32,000 Punch units were delivered, reflecting a 29% year-on-year growth. The company’s electric portfolio also witnessed substantial traction, with more than 10,000 EVs sold, a growth of 37% compared to the previous festive season.

Chandra credited Tata’s diverse SUV and EV lineup for fueling this success, emphasizing that customer response across both urban and semi-urban markets was exceptionally positive. He also highlighted that Tata Motors plans to introduce several new models soon, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation and expanding its product range.

He added that the company is preparing to participate in upcoming automobile exhibitions and aims to showcase a range of new-generation vehicles by the end of the financial year.
