UP Government to Introduce New Export Policy with Increased Incentives

Exports to Reach $20.67 Billion in 2023-24
The Uttar Pradesh government is set to introduce a new export policy aimed at boosting exports and reaching the ambitious $1 trillion economy goal. The policy will offer enhanced incentives to exporters, ensuring a 7.5% annual growth in exports. The UP Export Policy 2025-30 will focus on simplifying processes, improving logistics, and increasing subsidies to strengthen the state's global trade.
Key Benefits Under the New Policy
• 60% waiver on testing charges for exporters (up to ₹2 lakh).
• 50% subsidy on participation in foreign exhibitions (up to ₹10 lakh).
• 25% concession on gateway port charges (up to ₹10 lakh).
• ₹20 lakh support for exporters using dedicated cargo flights.
• 75% subsidy on courier services for small exporters.
• ₹2 lakh reimbursement for international certifications.
Impact of Jewar Airport on Exports
The Jewar International Airport is expected to provide a major boost to exports by reducing transportation costs and improving connectivity. The Industrial Development and Export Promotion Minister stated that the airport will make UP a major export hub, especially for sectors like handicrafts, textiles, and electronics.
Uniform Plot Allocation Rule Across Three Authorities
The government has also announced that GNIDA, YEIDA, and Noida Authority will implement a single set of rules for land allotment, ensuring transparency and fair distribution. The first phase will cover 8,000 industrial plots, benefiting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
With these measures, Uttar Pradesh aims to increase its export share in India's total exports and position itself as a leading trade powerhouse.
