20 New Nuclear Power Plants to be Built in the Country: Khattar


Central Minister for Energy, Housing, and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, said that the coming times will focus on green and clean energy. After the year 2035, work will be done only on solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear power plants.
Currently, work has started on eight nuclear power plants in the country. It has been directed to identify locations for 20 more nuclear power plants. On Thursday, while speaking to the media at a hotel in the city, the Central Minister emphasized this initiative.
Manohar Lal further stated that old thermal power plants will be improved by 2035. Orders have been issued to extend their operations for the next 10 years. Post-2035, the entire focus of the country will be on solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear power projects.
