BJP NGO Cell Meeting Concludes in Vijay Nagar with Recognition Ceremony

 

Ghaziabad: A significant meeting of the BJP NGO Cell was held at the Vijay Nagar -Ghaziabad Assembly constituency, during which the role of NGOs in the effective implementation of various public welfare schemes was discussed. The event was attended by the Minister of the State Government, Sunil Sharma, who emphasized the need to expand the influence of NGOs to reach the grassroots level and make social welfare schemes more impactful.

The meeting was presided over by state coordinator Dr Sandeep Shahi, while regional co-coordinator Sanjay Sharma and assistant coordinators Satendra Singh and V.K. Saxena were also present as key speakers. During the event, a memorandum containing suggestions from different NGOs was handed over to Minister Sunil Sharma. The memorandum contained a list of recommendations to be considered by the state government to improve the reach and effectiveness of public welfare programs.

Discussion on the Role of NGOs in Public Welfare

Dr Sandeep Shahi highlighted that NGOs play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the government and the people. He noted that NGOs can help in the successful implementation of welfare schemes and ensure that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries. He encouraged NGOs to work closely with government agencies to increase their impact and effectiveness.

The meeting saw participation from 56 NGOs, representing 170 delegates from various sectors. The discussions focused on making the operations of NGOs more effective and ensuring that their activities align with the government’s welfare agenda.

Key Outcomes of the Meeting

  • Recognition of NGO Contributions: Several NGOs were recognized for their efforts in promoting social welfare and contributing to the community. Awards and certificates were distributed to representatives of these organizations.
  • Discussion on Expanding NGO Roles: The attendees emphasized the need for greater involvement of NGOs in government schemes. They discussed ways to increase the visibility and accountability of NGOs and enhance their role in social welfare.

Encouraging Dialogue for the Future

The meeting concluded with a call for continuous dialogue between NGOs and the government to ensure that public welfare schemes reach the last mile. Minister Sunil Sharma assured the delegates that their suggestions would be taken into consideration by the state government. He also praised the efforts of NGOs in bringing about positive social change and urged them to keep up the good work.

The event witnessed the presence of around 250 people, including NGO representatives, officials, and local leaders. Organizer Satyendra Singh expressed his gratitude to all the participants and reiterated the importance of NGOs in building a prosperous society.
