Hindon Aradhana – Lighting a Spiritual Spark

The Mahotsav began with solemnity and soul on March 29, 2025, at Navneet Ghat in Ghaziabad. Titled Hindon Aradhana, the opening ceremony saw the banks of the river come alive with sacred chants, ritual havan, aarti, and a grand Deepotsav attended by over 2,000 citizens.

Organized in remembrance of late Hindon activists Navneet Singh and Prashant Vats, the ceremony invoked India’s ancient river-worshipping tradition. Children lit thousands of earthen lamps, and spiritual leaders spoke passionately about the river as a mother figure—a divine presence abused by modern neglect.

“This is not just a polluted stream. This is a goddess in distress,” said Reena Singh of Utthan Samiti, urging the public to reframe the river’s identity from forgotten drain to sacred entity.
