ICIM Network Receives Major Government Recognitions, Strengthening Its Role in Audit, Safety and Workplace Dignity

The Indian Council of Industrial Management (ICIM) and its associate institutions have achieved a significant milestone with the receipt of major government recognitions, reinforcing their growing role in the fields of industrial compliance, workplace safety, labour law awareness and institutional dignity.

These recognitions have further strengthened the credibility and public standing of the ICIM network, marking an important development for organisations working toward responsible industrial management and socially accountable workplaces.

Legal Infosolutions Recognised as Third Party Auditor by Uttar Pradesh Labour Department

One of the key recognitions has been granted to Legal Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd., an associate organisation of ICIM, which has been officially recognised by the Uttar Pradesh Labour Department as a Third Party Auditor.

With this approval, the organisation is now authorised to conduct audits of factories and industrial establishments in accordance with the prescribed standards and framework of the department’s third-party audit scheme. The recognition is being viewed as a formal acknowledgment of the organisation’s expertise, technical capacity and long-standing experience in the field of labour law compliance and industrial audits.

This recognition further enhances the organisation’s role in helping industries strengthen legal compliance and improve accountability within operational systems.

Existing Approval for Occupational Health and Safety Training

In addition to this latest recognition, Legal Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. had already received approval from the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide training in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

Under this training framework, the organisation has been engaged in building awareness and capacity among industries on subjects such as:

  • workplace safety
  • risk management
  • accident prevention
  • employee protection
  • occupational compliance systems

This earlier recognition had already established the institution as a trusted training and advisory body in the field of industrial safety, and the latest audit recognition has further expanded its institutional standing.

Utthan Samiti Receives Approval for PoSH Training from Government of India

In another important development, Utthan Samiti, a sister organisation within the ICIM network, has also received formal recognition from the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, for conducting training under the framework of PoSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace).

This approval signifies the organisation’s role in promoting safe, respectful and gender-sensitive workplaces, and reflects its commitment to supporting institutions in building systems that uphold the dignity of women and ensure responsible workplace conduct.

The recognition is also seen as an important step in institutionalising awareness, sensitivity and compliance related to workplace behaviour and internal grievance mechanisms.

A Collective Milestone for Institutional Commitment

Commenting on the achievement, Satendra Singh, Chairman of ICIM, stated that these recognitions are not merely institutional approvals, but a reflection of a broader commitment toward building safe, structured and respectful workplaces.

He said that the recognitions reflect a shared vision centred on compliance, labour welfare, industrial safety and responsible administration, and that such milestones strengthen the organisation’s ability to offer practical and credible support to industries and institutions.

According to him, industrial growth must be built on a strong foundation of legal compliance, worker protection and ethical workplace culture, and the role of institutions like ICIM becomes increasingly important in that context.

Strengthening Three Critical Pillars

With these recognitions, the ICIM network has now significantly reinforced its presence across three major pillars of industrial and institutional governance:

  • Third Party Audit
  • Occupational Health and Safety Training
  • PoSH Training and Workplace Sensitisation

Each of these areas addresses a vital aspect of modern workplace functioning. While audits help ensure legal and regulatory compliance, OHS training improves physical safety and operational discipline, and PoSH training contributes to a respectful and dignified organisational culture.

Expanding Role in Industry and Institutional Development

Over time, ICIM and its associate institutions have been engaged in offering industrial training, compliance guidance, legal advisory support and awareness programmes to industries and organisations. With these latest recognitions, their role is expected to become even more impactful and far-reaching.

The development is being seen as an important recognition of sustained work in the areas of industrial governance, employee welfare and workplace reform, and it positions the ICIM network as an increasingly trusted name in building responsible and future-ready institutional systems.
