India Cannot Become a Secure Nation Without Repealing All British and Mughal-Era Laws: Upadhyay
Speaking at an event organized by Saket and Nation First at the Pal R.T.S. Sanjeev Kumar Auditorium on Sunday, Supreme Court advocate Ashwini Upadhyay asserted that India cannot become a truly safe and secure nation without completely abolishing laws inherited from British and Mughal rule.
He remarked that despite achieving independence, the country continues to be governed by outdated and oppressive laws introduced by foreign rulers. These laws, he said, have contributed to corruption, crime, and insecurity in society.
Upadhyay alleged that a deep conspiracy is underway in which illegal migrants are being settled in border villages by certain traders and leaders. He warned that such settlements would eventually endanger both national security and social harmony.
He urged the central government to enact a stringent Population Control Act and called for a Uniform Civil Code to strengthen national integration.
The event was also attended by Sushil Potdar, Hemlata Shah, Bipin Jha, Vimal Potdar, and many other dignitaries.
