Jewar Airport to Be Connected to Ganga Expressway

Major Infrastructure Development Announced
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a 76-kilometer-long expressway link connecting Jewar Airport to the Ganga Expressway. This significant infrastructure project aims to improve connectivity between the Noida International Airport and key cities across the state.
Project Highlights
• ₹1000 crore allocated in the state budget for initial planning.
• The total estimated cost of the project is ₹4415 crore.
• The link expressway will enhance access to Meerut, Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.
• The project will connect Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, and Bundelkhand Expressway.
Boost to Expressway Network
• 12 Industrial Hubs will be developed along the Bundelkhand Expressway and Purvanchal Expressway to promote business and trade.
• ₹72 crore has been allocated for Bundelkhand Expressway hubs, while ₹144 crore has been set aside for Purvanchal Expressway hubs.
₹800 Crore Allocated for Expressway Upgrades
• Agra-Lucknow Expressway to undergo improvements with a budget of ₹800 crore.
• A 10-lane traffic management system will be introduced to streamline vehicle movement on major expressways.
• Gorakhpur Link Expressway will also see infrastructure enhancements.
This project is expected to significantly reduce travel time, enhance economic opportunities, and strengthen Uttar Pradesh's position as a logistics and transportation hub. With these developments, the state's expressway network will become one of the most advanced in India.
