Master Plan for International Film City Approved

First Phase to Cover 230 Acres Along Yamuna Expressway, Land Allocation Set for February
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the master plan for the International Film City, to be developed along the Yamuna Expressway. This ambitious project aims to establish a world-class filmmaking hub near Jewar Airport, further boosting the region's industrial and commercial landscape.
In the first phase, 230 acres of land will be developed, while the entire project will span 1,000 acres. The plan has been approved by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), and land allotment is expected to begin in February.
Key Features of the Film City
• The project is designed to accommodate film production studios, entertainment zones, commercial spaces, and allied infrastructure.
• Out of the 1,000 acres, 670 acres will be allocated for industrial activities, 155 acres for commercial establishments, and 75 acres for recreational and green spaces.
• The development will occur in multiple phases, starting with the first phase on 230 acres.
Four Zones Dedicated to Industrial and Commercial Activities
The International Film City will include four distinct zones, each designed for specific industrial and commercial purposes:
1. Industrial Use (Film Production Studios, Green Belt, and Roads)
2. Commercial Use (Shopping Centers, Hotels, Business Hubs)
3. Entertainment and Recreational Facilities
4. Residential and Support Infrastructure
Strategic Location & Connectivity
• The Film City is located near Mathura, Vrindavan, and Agra, making it a strategic location for tourism and cultural exchange.
• It will be well-connected to Delhi, Noida, and other key urban centers via the Yamuna Expressway.
Estimated Investment & Economic Impact
• The project is expected to attract an investment of ₹1,510 crore.
• It will generate thousands of jobs and position Uttar Pradesh as a major film production hub in India.
The approval of the International Film City master plan marks a significant step toward transforming Uttar Pradesh into a global center for cinema, media, and entertainment.
