Tesla and X (formerly Twitter) CEO Elon Musk earned almost 10 times Donald Trump’s total wealth in just seven days. Musk’s net worth rose significantly in the days following Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election. Before Trump’s victory, Musk’s total net worth was $262 billion (approx. ₹22.11 lakh crore), which increased to $313.6 billion (approx. ₹26.46 lakh crore) by Tuesday. In comparison, Trump’s wealth is about $5.6 billion (approx. ₹47.26 thousand crore).
According to the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires Index, Musk became the world’s richest person after the U.S. election results were announced on November 6. Tesla’s stock saw a significant surge following Trump’s victory, with the stock price rising by 39%, adding approximately $84.39 billion (₹84.39 lakh crore) to the company’s market cap.
Musk’s Key Role in Trump’s Victory
Musk heavily utilized his social media platform, X, to influence the election outcome. Reports claim that he promoted registration efforts targeting voters in southern states through Right State Americans, an organization that Musk supported. Analysts suggest that Musk now aims to leverage the business gains from Trump’s win.
