‘Namo Bharat’ Metro Corridor to Connect Gurugram, Faridabad, and Noida–Greater Noida

A major regional transport project aimed at strengthening connectivity across the National Capital Region (NCR) is set to move forward with the approval of the Haryana government. The proposed “Namo Bharat” Metro corridor will connect Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, and Greater Noida, creating a high-speed transit network designed to improve urban mobility and reduce travel time between key economic hubs.

The corridor will be developed under the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) framework and is expected to significantly enhance connectivity across the NCR. The proposed route will cover approximately 64 kilometers, with around 52 kilometers of the corridor located within Haryana. The project aims to provide faster and more efficient transport options for commuters traveling between major residential, commercial, and industrial areas in the region.

According to government estimates, the construction of the corridor is expected to require an investment of nearly ₹15,000 crore. The project will also require around 75 hectares of land for infrastructure development, stations, and supporting facilities.

Officials have indicated that the corridor will support modern rapid transit services designed to meet growing passenger demand in the region. Each train is expected to consist of 10 coaches, with a capacity of approximately 1,928 passengers per train, ensuring the system can accommodate a large number of daily commuters.

The Haryana government stated that the operation and management of the corridor will be handled by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which is responsible for implementing RRTS projects in the NCR. The project aligns with the broader vision of improving urban transport infrastructure and creating integrated regional mobility networks.
