Narayanan Takes Over as ISRO Chairman

Renowned rocket scientist Dr. V. Narayanan has officially assumed charge as the Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Narayanan replaces S. Somanath in this prestigious role. According to an official ISRO statement, Dr. V. Narayanan took over as the Secretary of the Department of Space, Chairman of the Space Commission, and Chairman of ISRO on January 13.
A Veteran in Rocket and Spacecraft Propulsion
Dr. Narayanan joined ISRO in 1984 as a specialist in rocket and spacecraft propulsion systems. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in India's space missions and contributed significantly to the country’s advancements in space technology.
After holding various key positions at ISRO, he was appointed as the Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre in 2018, further strengthening India's space exploration capabilities.
