Preparations Underway to Establish an Austrian Township in Gautam Buddha Nagar


Focus on Strengthening Indo-Austrian Cooperation
A proposal is being considered to establish an Austrian city near Noida International Airport, alongside Korean and American cities. A delegation of 24 Austrian members visited Yamuna City and Greater Noida to explore investment opportunities and expressed interest in mutual cooperation.
The authorities stated that the Austrian delegation undertook a three-day visit to India. After participating in the India-Austria Business Summit in Bangalore, they explored Yamuna City on Thursday as a potential site for the Austrian township.
Promoting Tourism in Mathura and Agra
The delegation also explored Horizon City in Mathura and the New Agra Airport Center for potential tourism and real estate investments. The officials informed them that Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populous state, offering tremendous opportunities in agriculture, tourism, and startups.
Aligning with India's Vision for Development
Rajya Sabha MP Mithilesh Kumar emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India and invited Austrian investment in various sectors, including education, health, and technology. He described Yamuna City as a futuristic hub offering excellent opportunities for international collaboration.

The delegation expressed particular interest in tourism, film studios, and electronic vehicle manufacturing. They were briefed on policies under the UP-Government’s investment framework.
Prominent officials such as IAS Prerna Singh, IAS Soumya Srivastava, and GM Naveen Kumar Singh participated in the discussions.
