The Union Budget 2025-26 has announced a ₹1 lakh crore urban renewal fund to improve infrastructure, sanitation, and housing projects in cities. This initiative aims to modernize urban areas, complete stalled housing projects, and enhance living conditions.

o    ₹50,000 crore fund for affordable housing will help people buy homes in urban areas.
o    The government is streamlining approvals for faster project completion.
4.    Boosting the Real Estate Sector
o    New policies will help real estate developers restart abandoned projects.
o    Builders facing financial difficulties will receive assistance to resume construction.
