AI-Based Portal to Be Developed for Pollution Control Board

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to develop a modern AI-enabled portal to make the Pollution Control Board’s processes simpler and more transparent.

According to officials, the portal will integrate information technology and artificial intelligence to streamline approvals, monitoring, and reporting.

Industries will be able to submit self-compliance reports online, along with applications for consents, renewals, and other regulatory filings. The portal will automatically send reminders to companies to ensure compliance is maintained on time.

A key feature will be the ability to upload inspection reports and AI-assisted compliance verification, which will help reduce manual errors and improve oversight.

Officials said the system will also allow real-time checking of submitted compliance data.

 

Once operational, the new platform will make dealings with the Pollution Control Board more convenient for industries while strengthening environmental management.

Authorities believe that in addition to improving transparency, the portal will raise awareness among industries and the public about pollution control and compliance.
