American Company to Establish Semiconductor Manufacturing Unit in YEIDA Region

 

 The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region is set to welcome its first American semiconductor manufacturing unit. Bharat Semi System Private Limited, a joint venture between Indian and American partners, will establish a semiconductor unit in the Yamuna industrial area. The company has been allotted 50 acres of land, for which an agreement letter has been issued. Once the state and central government approvals are secured, the process of land allocation will begin.

The company plans to invest ₹2,350 crores in setting up this unit. Bharat Semi System Private Limited had submitted a proposal to establish a semiconductor manufacturing unit in the Yamuna industrial area, which was approved with the allocation of 50 acres of land in Sector 10.

Dr. Arunvir Singh, Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, stated that this project was part of the announcement made during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States. It marks the first American investment in the Yamuna industrial region for semiconductor manufacturing, showcasing a significant step in the region's industrial growth and development.
