Hindon Manthan – From Prayers to Policy
The tone shifted from emotion to evidence on April 5, 2025, with Hindon Manthan—a high-level policy conclave held at Janaki Bhawan, Ghaziabad. The gathering brought together over 300 experts, including:
- Climate scientist Pankaj Chaturvedi
- Dr. Anil Gautam (People’s Science Institute)
- Dr. Vivek Kumar (IIT Delhi)
- Dr. Umar Saif (GIS Specialist)
- Legal advisor Advocate S.K. Gupta
- Members of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam
- Environmental law scholars
- Spiritual activists and citizen volunteers
Discussions revolved around the legal status of rivers, GIS-based monitoring tools, STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) efficacy, agricultural runoff, and global best practices. The highlight was the unveiling of a collaborative White Paper by Utthan Samiti and the Centre for Water Peace (CWP).
“Faith must meet facts,” said Satendra Singh. “Our emotions must now fuel structural reform.”
