UPSIDC Signs Pact for Eco-Friendly Industrial Development in Uttar Pradesh

Focus on solar energy, e-charging, and smart monitoring systems

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Electronics Limited (CEL) to promote environment-friendly industrial growth across the state.

Under the agreement, solar panels will be installed on industrial rooftops and open land within industrial estates to enhance renewable energy capacity. The collaboration will also introduce advanced technologies such as solar street lighting, high-rise solar systems, and hybrid renewable energy solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Officials confirmed that centralized monitoring dashboards will be created to ensure safe and sustainable operations in industrial clusters. Plans include the development of wide-area tracking and data analytics technologies to strengthen management of resources and infrastructure.

Additionally, UPSIDC and CEL will jointly work on setting up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across industrial estates, supporting India’s green mobility goals. The partnership will also explore the modernization of civil, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure to meet future industrial demands.

UPSIDC stated that with CEL’s support, green and smart industrial policies will be framed to accelerate Uttar Pradesh’s transition towards sustainable development while attracting new investments.
