Vande Bharat’s Advantageous Cost and Speed

The Vande Bharat Express can reach a speed of 160 km/h in a very short duration, comparable to Japan’s bullet trains. While the bullet train takes 52 to 100 seconds to reach a speed of 100 km/h, Vande Bharat achieves this acceleration in just 54 seconds.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Make in India” policy has been instrumental in boosting the production and international recognition of Vande Bharat trains. After the successful production of fighter jets, this is India’s second major achievement in the technology and manufacturing sectors.

Expansion of Indian Railways

Indian Railways is rapidly expanding its network and plans to increase the number of Vande Bharat trains in operation. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav recently announced that over the next 10 years, more than 31,000 kilometres of railway track will be laid, and an additional 40,000 kilometres of track will be connected to the existing network.

The distinctive design of the Vande Bharat Express, its low noise level, and high energy efficiency have made it an attractive option for many countries. The Indian government is now preparing to position itself as a global exporter of Vande Bharat trains.
